Basic Instructions

As user-friendly as I have tried to make this site, I understand that some of you may need some help uploading tests. This page makes it a little easier to understand exactly how to post and what you are doing during the process.

To remind you, you do not have to be registered to post, view/download or rate on this site. However, to post any sort of comment you will have to register.

Beneath this type is the first portion of the post. Here you submit the title, test date, and type of test. There are also categories to facilitate searching for tests. Follow the directions beneath the categories, as they make the searches for tests more accurate.

title and categories

Beneath this is the second portion of the post. The test description can be as simple or as complicated as you like. I suggest posting which chapters the test covered, as well as some ideas of what to study (portions of the book, professor's lecture notes, etc). There are also editing options for html, image and symbol insertion in case you need it.

Beneath this is the third portion of the post. This encompasses an option for linking to another website if the test is located there, and the bibliography if it is required. The test website title is what the link will look like, while the URL is the actual link to the website.
Ex: Title = PostYourTest URL = www.postyourtest.com

For bibliography citation (if required), use whatever method you prefer (MLA, APA, etc).

*Note* Formatting options are not very important during a typical post, and most of you should be able to skip over this without worrying. If you would like more information on formatting options than the link gives you, send me an e-mail.

url and bibliography

Beneath this is the last portion of the post. This is the area where you upload a document and preview/submit your test. If you have to scan or take a picture(s) of the test before you upload it, here are a few ideas:

  • If you do not have a scanner in your room, go to your school's library or IT centerand use one of their scanners. Save this document as a pdf or word document, and make sure that it is under 4mb in size (most scanners as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro Software have document resizing options).
  • If you are taking several pictures of your test, paste them to a word document. This way you will only have to upload one document. Again, make sure that it is under 4mb in size (4mb is quite large, most songs range from 2-3 mb).
  • Document formats okay for upload: jpg, jpeg, txt, doc, xls, pdf, ppt, pps, odt, ods, odp.

*Note* Though uploading a test is the easiest way to share it, uploading a test is not required.

Previewing your completed test before you submit it is recommended, though not required.

uploadpath

After you post your test, you will see an option to rate it. This rating from 1-10 is from easiest to most difficult. When you search the easiest and most difficult tests, you might find yours there!
